Crystal Palace are linked with the signing Nathan Ferguson after they dropped the deal in January transfer window. He is currently playing with West Bromwich Albion. Both the clubs have agreed on the deal for transferring Ferguson for £11 million and an additional £1 million for add–ons.

But the deal was dropped when Palace identified a knee injury during the medical. The 19-year-old has to go through surgery. As per the reports, he is now working up to regain his fitness with the help of West Bromwich with all the football activity withheld due to Covid 19.
Meanwhile, Ferguson’s agent has confirmed that he has no intention of continuing in Albion and is looking forward to move into a new club. He has also turned down their offer in rejoining the club for a loan. His contract with Albion ends with this summer and his decisions on Albion confirms his need to have a new challenge.
The defender has a lot of clubs waiting in the line to sign him up. But Crystal Palace is certain they will be able to make the deal as he and his family are keen on moving to London.
For Albion, this is good news as they will receive a good amount of compensation. As both the clubs have previously agreed on £11 million, Baggies will be expecting certain amount similar to it. But if the defender decides to move overseas then, they will be receiving only £300,000 as per FIFA compensation rules.
Swedish defender Martin Olsson said he was close to joining Albion in January. He had a trial with them for nearly two weeks but the club signed Lee Peltier to boost their defence. Olsson also said that everything was going good but due to some problem with the players’ the deal was called off.
