Slovakia national team defender Milan Skriniar has been in good form for Inter Milan this season especially in the Italian Serie A and his good form has propelled Inter Milan to the top of the table. Inter Milan secured the Italian Serie A summit last weekend with the impressive win over Lazio at home.


The Nerazzuri were able to capitalise on the slipup from former leaders and city rivals AC Milan. The Rossoneri were beaten 2-0 at newly promoted team Spezia on Saturday and Inter Milan took full advantage 24 hours later with the win over in-form Lazio.

Capital club Lazio came into the game on the back of a six-match winning run in the league but they could not make it seven wins on the bounce due to the impressive outing from the Nerazzuri. The Inter Milan defence led by Slovakia international player Milan Skriniar was able to hold off the Ciro Immobile-led Lazio attack to allow RomeluLukaku and co. flourish in attack. Lukaku scored a brace to propel Inter Milan to a 3-1 win at home. RomeluLukaku scored twice in the first half as the Nerazzuri raced into a 2-0 lead at the interval. The second of the brace for Lukaku came from the spot. Romelu Lukaku is now the joint topscorer in the league this season after the two goals took his tally to 16 goals in the league alongside Juventus player Cristiano Ronaldo. Lazio pulled one back through Sergej Milinkovic-Savicjust after the hour mark. The Lazio fightback was cut short by a third Inter Milan goal three minutes later courtesy Lautaro Martinez.
